The Mascot Experience Package
The package price is £375.
The Mascot package includes the following terms and benefits:
- To be eligible for a mascot package, a child needs to be a home supporter between the ages of 5 and 12.
- Full current home or away kit (shirt/shorts/socks) will be provided and posted approximately three to four weeks prior to match.
- Please only wear trainers. No studs or moulds to be permitted.
- One parking space per mascot package will be provided on-site.
- Pre-match exclusive access to The Gas Lamp bar in the North Stand.
- Cash bar.
- Complimentary drink on arrival.
- Buffet-style food available.
- Two adult and two junior tickets (under-18) located in the Trinity Road Stand (one junior ticket is for the mascot themselves).
- Matchday programme.
- Family entertainment.
- Mascot gift bag (Contents for mascot only).
- Player meet & greet (Subject to availability).
- Run out of tunnel with a first-team player onto the Villa Park turf for the start of the match.
- Four complimentarty photos taken by our official mascot photographer (Sent post-match via email with the opportunity to purchase additionals).
- Social media shoutout from our official @AVFCSupport account on the day of the match.
The Mascot's role at the Match will be at AVFC's absolute discretion. AVFC gives no guarantee which player a Mascot will walk out with. This will be drawn at random before the Match. AVFC will not enter any correspondence as to which football player a Mascot may be assigned to at the Match.
- Each Mascot and each of the Mascots guest(s) will be required to comply with any policies, procedures, terms and conditions, and reasonable requirements of AVFC which apply to the use of the facilities at the Stadium and / or attendance at the Match. AVFC reserves the right to eject a Mascot and/or a Mascots guest(s) from the Match and / or the Stadium in the event of any breach of any such policies, procedures, terms and conditions and/or requirements. It is the responsibility of the parent and/or guardian of the Mascot to ensure that they and the Mascot are familiar with the relevant policies, procedures and terms and conditions. if in doubt as to which policies, procedures or terms and conditions apply, it is your responsibility to request such information from AVFC.
- One of the guests that accompany that Mascot to the Match must be 18 years of age or older on the date of the Match.
- AVFC reserves the right to substitute any or all the items included in the Mascot package with others of a similar nature and/or of equal or greater value at any time. The value of the benefit shall be determined by AVFC in its sole discretion.
- No guarantees can be given by AVFC that a Match will take place at a particular time or on a particular date however the Match, if rescheduled, will take place during the relevant season. AVFC reserves the right to reschedule any Match without notice and without any liability whatsoever. Your Mascot package will enable you to attend the re-arranged Match. In the event of reschedule, the Mascot package will be valid for the rescheduled date or alternatively, an exchange will be offered in this instance.
- There is no guarantee that all players will be available every match, sometimes without prior notice. In this instance, Mascots will be doubled up with another child, two children to one player.
- Subject to clause 8, AVFC shall have no liability whatsoever to any Mascot, their parents and/or guardians or any of their guests for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of enjoyment, loss of possessions or travel/accommodation costs.
- For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit the AVFC’s liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by AVFC or AVFC’s employees’ negligence during the course of their employment; or
- any other conduct for which liability may not be excluded or limited as a matter of English law.
- Each Mascot and their guest(s) will be required to give their consent, 14 days prior to the Match, for the Mascot and their guest(s)'s (if applicable) photographs to be published, as AVFC in its absolute discretion shall decide. As the Mascot and their guest(s) will be on the pitch and may feature in AVFC matchday photography, if consent is not provided, AVFC shall be entitled to cancel the Mascot package. A full refund will be provided. Where AVFC wishes to use images primarily of the Mascot and/or their guest(s) and/or disclose their full names, AVFC will request explicit consent.
- If AVFC cannot successfully contact a Mascot within a reasonable length of time, or if a Mascot does not meet the eligibility requirements, a replacement Mascot will be found who is able, willing, and eligible to accept the Mascot package and provide the necessary consents (as set out at clause 9).
- For safeguarding reasons, Mascots will not be allowed access to the changing rooms whilst they are in use and players will be unable to sign any merchandise or items that you bring on the day or leave with staff to have signed after the event.
- We are unable to allow parents/guardians in the tunnel area or pitch side whilst the Mascot is on the experience. Parents/guardians may go to the allocated seating area by swiping the tickets in via the turnstile that corresponds to your Match ticket.
- Mascot packages are restricted to one per Fan ID per season. You can, however, be a Mascot for an EPL game and a WSL game in the same season. This Includes Cup fixtures
- The application and safeguarding form must be submitted (signed) to supporter services at least 14 days before the Match. We may be unable to fulfil the package if this is not returned pre-Match. (Mascot forms)
- Mascot kits will be arranged with our Mascot co-ordinator approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the date of the Match. Please note that kit stock may be limited, especially towards the end of the season, therefore, we cannot guarantee any specific advertised sizes to be always available. Matchday kit will be allocated to Mascots depending on the size requested and the best match subject to the kit availability at the time.
- The package can only be utilised by the supporter whose Fan ID the Mascot package has been purchased in. AVFC has the right to cancel any Mascot package (without liability) where the child's details do not match details held against the fan number.
- Parents/guardians of the Mascot will have the ability to purchase a maximum of 2 additional tickets for the Match (subject to availability). However, AVFC gives no guarantee that any additional tickets will be in the same block or stand to the Mascot package allocated tickets. Those additional tickets are for the match only and no other part of the Mascot experience.
- AVFC reserves the right to cancel or amend these Terms and Conditions without notice when reasonably necessary for the purpose of administering the Mascot package.
- AVFC reserves the right to withdraw any Mascot package from sale at any time and for any reason.
- You confirm that if the Mascot has tested positive for Covid-19, the Mascot will not attend AVFC’s premises under any circumstances. You are required to let AVFC know that this is the case as soon as possible.
- The Mascot package is non-refundable and non-transferable. We do not offer refunds on Mascot packages unless under exceptional circumstances. For the avoidance of doubt, the final decision belongs to the Head of Ticketing Operations.
- Once a Mascot package has been purchased, it cannot be deferred to a later game for any reason. The game you have purchased is the Mascot package you will receive.

- The package includes 2 adults (over 18’s) and 2 under 18 tickets, one for the mascot themselves. The other under 18 ticket cannot be upgraded to an adult as it is part of the package. If you require an additional adult(s); you can purchase a maximum of 2 that can be alongside the Mascot package in the Gas Lamp. This will include their match ticket, access to the Gas Lamp, complimentary drink and buffet. Adults are priced at £40 and under 14’s are £25. Additional general admission tickets can also be purchased via the website or over the phone at the Ticket Office on 0333 323 1874.
FAQs
How much is a WSL mascot package?
The WSL mascot package spaces are £375 per child.
How many spaces are available per match?
11 spaces per match will be made available. However, sometimes we will have less spaces for several reasons.
Can I book in advance?
No. Spaces are sold on a first come, first served basis.
I am a hospitality STH. How do I get my child to be a mascot?
Some hospitality season tickets may include a mascot package. You would need to check with your hospitality account manager ot confirm this, otherwise it is the same process and cost as any other supporter.
My child wants to be a mascot. I am an Aston Villa fan, but they support another club. Can they do the experience?
Unfortunately, mascot packages are for home supporters only. You would need to contact the club the child supports to see if they can accomodate.
My child is four years old and wants to be a mascot. What are the ages?
The mascot package is for children aged 5-12.
How many tickets are included in the package?
Two adults and two under-18 tickets will be provided for each mascot package. One of the under-18 tickets is for the mascot themselves.
My other child is over 18. Can I upgrade the other under-18 ticket that is part of the package?
Unfortunately, the package is for two adults and two under-18s and we are unable to upgrade the other junior ticket. If you need an additional ticket for another adult, you can purchase a maximum of two. This will include their match ticket, access to The Gas Lamp with complimentary drink and the buffet.
When will I receive my tickets?
All match tickets will be given out on the day of the game. Any additional tickets will be emailed at the point of purchase.
Is parking included?
Yes, one parking space per mascot package will be provided in Villa Village car park. If you require an accessible space, please let the mascot co-ordinator know as soon as possible to arrange this. A blue badge will need to be always displayed.
My child has the home kit already. Can they have the away kit?
Yes, you can choose between the home or away kit.
My child has both home and away kits can we have the third or goalkeeper kit?
Unfortunately, we only have the Home or Away as an option of Kit.
My Junior does not fit into regular junior sizes; can they have an adult kit?
If your child does not fit into regular junior kits and requires and adult size, you can pay the difference for an adult size. This season's adult kit has a betting sponsor on; therefore, they will be provided a plain top with no sponsor. These are very limited and subject to availability.
What if I order a size kit and it does not fit?
Notify the Mascot Co-Ordinator as soon as possible so they can arrange a particular size in time for the game. If your child does not fit into regular junior kits and requires and adult size, you can pay the difference for an adult size.
What footwear should my child wear?
Trainers only, no football boots to be worn.
Can I collect the kit instead of it being posted?
Yes, we can arrange for kit to be collected. This will be from the NORTH STAND RECEPTION ONLY. If this needs to be arranged, please inform the Mascot Co-Ordinator when purchasing. (Certain weekdays only)
My child has tested positive for COVID-19 can we rearrange, get a refund or transfer to another child?
As per the Terms and Conditions, the Mascot package is non-refundable and non-transferable. This includes positive COVID tests. We do not offer refunds on Mascot packages unless under exceptional circumstances. For the avoidance of doubt, the final decision belongs to the Head of Ticketing Operations.
My child is in a wheelchair; can they do the Mascot Package?
We here at Aston Villa are an inclusive club. Adjustments can be made to the experience to accommodate a Wheelchair Mascot. The Gas Lamp area is WC accessible. Please notify the Mascot Co-ordinator at the time of booking that your child is a wheelchair user so we can make reasonable adjustments.
My child is disabled; can I be with them in the tunnel area?
We are unable to allow parents/guardians in the tunnel area or pitch side whilst the Mascot is on the experience. Parents/guardians may go the allocated seating area by swiping the tickets in via the turnstile that corresponds to your Match ticket. The Mascot Co-Ordinator and members of the safeguarding department will be always present to assist.
Can I bring a shirt to get signed?
Unfortunately, the only items permitted to be signed are the Autograph book included in the gift pack. No items can be left to be signed after the fixture either.
Can my child have the shirt of the player they walked out with after the game?
Unfortunately this is not possible.
Can I select the player my child goes out with?
To be fair and consistent to all Mascots, we will do a random draw to determine which Mascot goes out with which player.
Can my child take a mobile phone in to record their experience?
Unfortunately, we cannot permit mobile phones/any recording equipment in the tunnel area or the pitch. This is for safeguarding of other children and copyright purposes. We do have an Official Mascot Photographer that will capture your child’s experience. You will receive complimentary photos from the day.
My child wants to be mascot for two different games in the same season; is this possible?
To give everyone a fair chance we only permit one Mascot package, per child, per season. However, a child can be a mascot for both a men’s home fixture and a women’s home fixture in the same season. This Includes Cup games.
We booked for a particular fixture, but my child has changed their mind and would like to change it to another; can this be done?
Once you have received confirmation of your booking, all packages are final and cannot be transferred to a different fixture.
I want my child to have photos taken in certain areas/ with a certain player; can this be arranged?
The Official Mascot Photographer will have a set number of areas they are allowed to take photos in and who with. We make no guarantees on where or who your child may have pictures with.
What if we are running late to arrive to the stadium?
We always advise leaving your destination with plenty of time to arrive at the stadium on time for your Mascot Package. We will not delay the experience for other children if you are late. You will not be partially refunded if you are late and miss part of the experience. Please contact the Mascot Co-ordinator if you are going to be late on 07741 186 794.
Can my child wear their kit before the match?
We expect all Mascots to arrive in full, as new kit. Any damages to the kit, will not be replaced by the club, but at your own expense.
Is there somewhere my child can get changed before/after the experience?
There are toilets located within the Gas Lamp area. These are only accessible before the match.
Will every player be available to walk out with a child for every game?
Sometimes, for various reasons, certain players who are starting the game will not be available to walk out with a mascot on the day. In this instance, another player will walk out with 2 children. Usually the Captain, or the Keeper. (Subject to availability.) Parents will be notified either ahead of time or on the day of the game if this occurs.
Can I buy additional tickets for family and friends?
Additional tickets (outside of the 4 included) can be purchased subject to availability. A maximum of 2 additional tickets can be purchased to go along side with the Mascot package. They will have access to the Gas Lamp, and this includes their match ticket. These are priced at £40 for adults and £25 for Under 14’s. If you need to request any other additional general admission seats, please call the ticket office on 0333 323 1874 or purchase online. Please note GA seats are not located in the same area as mascot ones but in the stand and will not have access to the Gas Lamp.
I have purchased more than 2 additional tickets; are they able to come to the Gas Lamp?
No. Only the people on the initial mascot booking plus the maximum of 2 if applicable, can come to the Gas Lamp. All other supporters need to use the usual entrance on their ticket when the turnstiles open.
I have two children who would both like to be a mascot, do you offer a sibling discount?
No. All mascot experiences are sold per child and come as a full package.
What do the parents do whilst the mascot is doing their experience?
Parents are welcome to stay in the Gas Lamp area to enjoy the match day build up, head across to the Family Fun Zone or there is match day entertainment around the stadium, we just ask parents to be back in the room in time for the walk out draw. Times will be told on the day.
Do you have anywhere to store large bags?
No. Please do not bring any large bags/suitcase to the stadium.
