Moussa Diaby has made an immediate impact at Aston Villa since his summer move from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Frenchman, who has caught the eye with his fast footwork and attacking qualities, has scored twice and registered an assist in his first four Premier League games.

And the 24-year-old says he’ll be looking for more when Crystal Palace visit Villa Park on Saturday.

“I’m very happy to have scored two goals and make one assist,” he said.

“I came here to play like this, helping the team with goals and assists.

“I hope I will continue like this, helping the team in the next game and during the season.”

Diaby’s fine form in August was recognised by the club’s supporters as they voted for him as their Player of the Month.

And the accolade was well received by Villa’s No.19, who is determined to continue helping the team.

He said: “It’s always nice to be Player of the Month, but I have to stay in this way, playing well and helping the team.

“We’ve won two games and lost two games, which is not so good for this club.

“We can play better and we can start on Saturday against Crystal Palace.”
