Ezri Konsa is excited to see what the future holds at Aston Villa having penned a new long-term contract at the club.
The centre-back put pen to paper on a fresh deal on Wednesday and immediately spoke of his happiness at committing to the club.
Konsa is loving life in B6 and can’t wait to see where the journey takes him and Villa.
“I’m really delighted,” he said.
“It’s been a good journey so far and I’m just delighted to be able to continue my journey here.
“I’m really enjoying my football at the moment, I feel like I’m really thriving under the boss and the project is really good.
“I’m just really, really excited to see what the future holds.”

Konsa joined Villa in the summer of 2019 following the club’s promotion to the Premier League.
The 25-year-old is now in his fifth season at Villa Park and has almost 150 appearances to his name in claret and blue.
Asked about his highlight so far, the defender points back to the club’s Premier League survival on the final day of the 2019/20 season away at West Ham United.
And Konsa is also enthusiastic when talking about the family atmosphere here at the club, something he has referenced several times in VillaTV interviews.
“100 per cent,” he says, when asked whether that played a part in his new contract.
“Everyone here, us boys, the staff, are all close, we’re all together.
“We enjoy each other’s company and we all look forward to training every single day and learning new things.”

The defender is preparing to add European experience to his Villa CV, with Unai Emery’s squad having arrived in Poland for their Europa Conference League clash against Legia Warszawa.
Villa will be competing in the group stages of UEFA competition for the first time since 2008, but that is something Konsa wants to sample on a regular basis, along with silverware, as he looks towards his ambitions for the future.
“Obviously, to continue in Europe,” he added.
“We’re there this season and we want to do it again next season, and the season after that.
“And I think the main aim for this club and the manager, like he always says, is to win a trophy.”
