Aston Villa can confirm that Josh Feeney has joined Shrewsbury Town on loan.
The defender, who was part of Unai Emery’s squad on the pre-season tour of the USA, links up with the League One outfit after spending the latter part of last season on loan with Real Unión in Spain.
A former England youth international, Feeney joined Villa from Fleetwood Town in the summer of 2021 and has been a regular fixture for the Under-21 side.
