Matty Cash has belief in he and his teammates, as Aston Villa look to return to winning ways against Manchester City on Saturday (ko 12.30pm).
The Villans fell to as first defeat in four last weekend, succumbing to Nottingham Forest’s late comeback at The City Ground.
And, despite Saturday’s visitors currently enduring a tricky run of form, Cash still expects a difficult challenge, but insists – like any other side – City are “there to be beat”.

He said: “I think City are world class, to be honest.
“Top teams always go through little spells where they’re not consistent. City have been dominant in world football. They’re a really good team.
“They’re there to be beat, like every other team is. We believe in ourselves, and we believe against top teams, we can produce. We showed that last year against them.
“Last year, we made Villa Park a really tough place to come. We were playing really good stuff, with loads of confidence.
“Hopefully, we can restructure that, get on a good run at Villa Park, and make it a fortress again.
“We’d won the last three before Forest, and sometimes when you have a blip, you test yourselves as characters.
“We’ve learned a lot together and stuck together. We got beat by Forest and the main objective at home at the weekend is to try and get three points.”

Cash admits Villa are taking each game as it comes, and is fully focused on bouncing back on home soil this weekend.
“When you look at it, we’re still right up there in the table,” the Polish international added.
“We’re not far off fourth position – three points behind. We’ve had some results we haven’t been happy with, but we’re still in the right way.
“The last two years, we’ve done really well to get ourselves into the Champions League, to enjoy that together, and in the Champions League we’ve been really competitive and got some great results.
“We just want to take every game as it comes. At the highest level, you’re going to have dips in form and results, and it’s about staying together and being strong together and believing in what we do.
“That’s all you can do: bounce back. We had a bad result against Forest, and we have another opportunity to put it right at the weekend.”
