Unai Emery spoke to the media ahead of Aston Villa's final game of 2024, against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Emery's side welcome to Seagulls to Villa Park on Monday, with action to get underway from 7.45pm as the Villans look to bounce back from a Boxing Day defeat at Newcastle United.
The Villa boss previewed the clash, discussing team news, home form and the quick turnaround.
Below is every word from his pre-match press conference...
On quick turnaround...

“Yes, now Villa Park.
“Villa Park is where we have to feel strong with our supporters as well, and comfortable, and keep being consistent there.
“Of course, each match, three points are not coming back again, but we have to try to build the team, progressively getting better and of course correct how we can be competitive away.
“But at home, we have to keep trying to be consistent, like the last matches we did, with our supporters.
“The league, the table, is very tight, with a lot of teams with a few points [between each other].
“Of course, it is being a more interesting league, more difficult of course, but we have to be positive, trying to learn and to correct everything we are more or less doing.”
On home and away form...

“Firstly, it is because we played away against Tottenham Hotspur, against Chelsea, against Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and okay, we lost, and the match was different, and we lost against Newcastle.
“Between those matches, we won in Leipzig in Champions League, and of course we have to try to keep being consistent away.
“[Against Newcastle], we were speaking about it, and how we wanted more or less to get confidence again, comfortable again playing away, but in the end we didn’t get it.
“But, of course, keep going.”
On Jacob Ramsey fitness...

“At the beginning, he is close to be in the squad, to be available to play, maybe on Monday.
“But we have [Friday] resting and Saturday and Sunday preparing the match for Monday.
“The last training session he did normally with the team, and hopefully he will be in the squad for Monday.”
