Unai Emery admitted Leon Bailey is unlikely to feature in Aston Villa's midweek Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Villans travel to the Amex Stadium on Wednesday evening, looking to bag a sixth-straight win in all competitions on their return to league action.
Speaking to the media in his pre-match press conference, Emery discussed how Bailey is still suffering from discomfort having taken a knock, and would not be training at Bodymoor Heath on Tuesday afternoon.
The Villa boss said: “Leon Bailey, still, with a hard kick, and I think he is not going to train this afternoon, and for tomorrow, difficult to play the match.”

Emery did however provide more positive news on Ross Barkley, revealing the midfielder trained with his team-mates on Monday, as he nears his long-awaited return from injury. Axel Disasi is also available once again, having been ineligible for Sunday's FA Cup clash at Preston.
Discussing Barkley and the rest of his squad, the Spaniard added: “We are having our training session this afternoon, trying to take time (after) the last match we played on Sunday.
“At the beginning, Barkley, he was training with the group yesterday.
“Other players, progressively, they were coming back and hopefully - after the match we played and the training we will do this afternoon - will be available, everybody.”
