Leon Bailey will be assessed ahead of Aston Villa’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest.
The wide man has missed Villa’s last two matches since returning from the international break, but is getting closer to his return and faces a late fitness test.
Midfielder Ross Barkley is training with his team-mates and could potentially feature in the matchday squad at Villa Park.
Otherwise, manager Unai Emery is set to have a fully-fit squad for the encounter against The Reds.
“We will train this afternoon,” said the Villa boss at Friday’s pre-match media conference.
“Bailey is getting better but we’ll check this afternoon how he’s progressing.
“Barkley is working with the team this week.
“We can feel happy because now we are recovering players and not getting players injured.
“I will decide this afternoon how the players are for the match tomorrow.”
