A point at Villa Park and progression in the UEFA Youth League

It's been yet another busy week in the world of Aston Villa, with all of our men's, women's and academy sides in action. 

Despite a rest from midweek action for our men's first team, Josep Gombau's under-19s travelled to Hungary, where they booked their place in the UEFA Youth League round of 16 with a 2-1 win over Puskás Akadémia, before Unai Emery's men were back in Premier League action with a 1-1 draw at home to Ipswich Town.

Another point on the board

The Villans were held to a 1-1 draw by Ipswich Town over the weekend, ensuring they've still lost just once at home in the league this season. 

Marcus Rashford, Axel Disasi, Emi Martínez and Lucas Digne took to social media to air their frustration, having been made to come from behind to take a share of the spoils against 10 players, but look ahead to their upcoming fixtures...

Progression in Europe

The Young Lions secured their place in the last 16 of the UEFA Youth League in Hungary, with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Puskás Akadémia in their first-ever knockout fixture in the competition.
