Aston Villa will compete in the last 16 of the 2024/25 Champions League, after ending the league phase with a 4-2 victory over Celtic.
The win over the Scottish giants at the end of January saw Unai Emery's side secure an eighth-place finish in the table, ensuring they progress straight through to the round of 16.
It will be the third time the Villans have competed at this stage of the competition, having made the quarter-finals in 1982/83, a year after lifting the famous trophy.

When is the round of 16 draw?
Villa will discover their opponents in the last 16 when the draw is made, on Friday, February 21. The draw will get underway from 11am GMT, at UEFA's House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
Will I be able to watch the draw?
The draw will be streamed live on UEFA.com, and you'll be able to catch updates as soon as the draw is made, across Villa's official website and social media channels.
Who could we face?
We will be facing off against either Borussia Dortmund or Club Brugge in the last 16, after the two sides overcame their respective opponents - Sporting CP and Atalanta - in the round of 32 play-off fixtures.
Unlike previous years, where teams from the same national association and group were kept apart in the first knockout round, we can be paired against any side in the draw. Any club can play any club, even if they are from the same country, or if they faced one another in the league phase (for example, Villa could still face Club Brugge in the last 16), from the round of 32 onwards.

Is anything else notable happening in the round of 16 draw?
The round of 16 draw will complete the bracket for the remainder of the tournament, meaning this will be the final draw of this season's competition.
Villa will be drawn on either the blue or silver side of the bracket, with Lille taking a place on the other side. Each of the above two fixtures will also be allocated onto its own side of the bracket, meaning Villa will discover whether their opponents will be the winner of the Brugge or Dortmund.
As well as finding out their last 16 opponents, each club's potential route to the final will also be revealed.
When will the next Champions League games be played?
Round of 16 ties are set to be played on March 4/5 (first legs), and March 11/12 (second legs). UEFA will confirm the full calendar, including match dates and kick-off times, on the day of the draw.
In principle, seeded clubs play the return leg at home, meaning that, because Villa finished in the top eight, we are likely to play our round of 16 first leg away from home, and second leg at Villa Park.
Away goals do not count in the Champions League after the rule was discontinued ahead of 2021/22, meaning ties level on aggregate at the end of 90 minutes in the second leg go to extra-time and, if required, a penalty shoot-out.
