By Aston Villa FC

Thank you for joining us this morning for our Champions League round of 16 draw live blog. We'll look forward to seeing you in Belgium for the first leg against Brugge, and then back at Villa Park on March 11/12 for the second leg!

And here's final confirmation of each club's Road to Munich '25, for the Champions League Final. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Villa have been drawn on the silver side of the bracket, facing a last 16 tie against Club Brugge with a place in the quarter-finals against either Liverpool or PSG up for grabs.

And that's that! Aston Villa will face Club Brugge in the last 16 of this season's Champions League, travelling to Belgium for the first leg on March 4/5, before the second leg at Villa Park on March 11/12.

Should Unai Emery's side make it past their matchday four opponents, they will face the winner of PSG and Liverpool in the quarter-finals. The winner of that quarter final will then face the winner of either PSV/Arsenal or Real Madrid/Atletico in the semi-final.

Full fixture and ticketing details for our round of 16 tie with Club Brugge will be confirmed in due course.

SEMI-FINAL 1: PSV/Arsenal or Real Madrid/Atletico v PSG/Liverpool or Club Brugge/Aston Villa

SEMI-FINAL 2: Benfica/Barcelona or Dortmund/Lille v Bayern/Bayer Leverkusen or Feyenoord/Inter Milan

And the draws for the semi-finals have also been made, with the bracket complete...

11:22 - Bayern/Leverkusen v Feyenoord/Inter

11:21 -  Benfica/Barcelona v Dortmund/Lille

11:20 - PSV/Arsenal v Real Madrid/Atletico Madrid

Now, the rest of the quarter-final ties...

So, should we make it past Club Brugge in the last 16, we'll face the winner of PSG and Liverpool in the quarters. The first leg will be away from home, before the return leg at Villa Park, should we make it through.

11:19 - PSG/Liverpool v Club Brugge/Aston Villa

That's all for the round of 16! The rest of the draw up to the final will now be completed...

11:18 - Benfica v Barcelona

11:18 - PSG v Liverpool

11:17 - Feyenoord v Inter Milan

11:17 - PSV v Arsenal

11:16 - Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen

11:16 - Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid

11:16 - Borussia Dortmund v LOSC Lille

Now, for the rest of the draw...

We're the first ball out, and it'll be Club Brugge in the last 16!

The Villans will travel back to Jan Breydel Stadium, where they will look to avenge the 1-0 defeat they suffered on matchday four of this seasonโ€™s competition on November 6.

It will be only the second-ever competitive meeting between the two sides, after the aforementioned clash.

Villa will travel to Belgium for the first leg on March 4/5, before Villa Park hosts the second leg on March 11/12.

11:14 - Club Brugge v Aston Villa

All the explanations have been made in Nyon, and we're ready to go...

UEFA's deputy secretary general, Giorgio Marchetti, is now on stage alongside former Bayern Munich forward Giovane ร‰lber, and the draw is about to begin...

Here's a reminder of how the bracket currently looks. We'll face either Brugge or Dortmund, with Lille playing the other of these two sides... ๐Ÿ‘‡

UCL Bracket

Action is underway in Nyon, with the draw set to begin imminently...

Who do we want, Villans?

It will be the third time the Villans have competed at this stage of the competition, having made the quarter-finals in 1982/83, a year after lifting the famous trophy. Ties will be played over March 4/5 (first legs), and March 11/12 (second legs), with UEFA to confirm the full calendar, including match dates and kick-off times, once the draw has been made.

In principle, seeded clubs play the return leg at home, meaning that, because Villa finished in the top eight, we are likely to play our round of 16 first leg away from home, and second leg at Villa Park.

The round of 16 draw will complete the bracket for the remainder of the tournament, meaning this will be the final draw of this season's competition.

The stage is set at UEFA's House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, with action set to get underway from 11am GMT.

For Unai Emery's side, it's either a meeting with league phase opponents Club Brugge, or Borussia Dortmund, who they faced as recently as pre-season, though have never taken on in a competitive fixture.

The Villans secured their place in the knockout stages with a top-eight finish, ending the league phase with an impressive record of five wins, one draw and two defeats.

Very shortly, we'll find out who we are to face in the last 16 of this prestigious competition.

A very good morning, and welcome to our live blog of the Champions League round of 16 draw!
