Unai Emery made four changes for Aston Villa’s FA Cup fifth-round tie against Cardiff City.
Ian Maatsen, Marco Asensio, Leon Bailey and Marcus Rashford all came into Villa’s starting XI from Tuesday’s Premier League defeat at Crystal Palace.
Lucas Digne, Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers were named among the substitutes against the Bluebirds, while Axel Disasi was cup-tied for the encounter at Villa Park.
There was also a place in the matchday 19 for fit-again midfielder Boubacar Kamara, along with 18-year-old defender Triston Rowe.
