Lamare Bogarde was named in Aston Villa’s starting line-up for their UEFA Champions League tie against Celtic.
The 21-year-old was handed his second European start of the season, and third appearance in the competition, having also lined up from the off against BSC Young Boys.
Bogarde’s inclusion for the injured Tyrone Mings was Unai Emery’s sole change from last weekend’s Premier League draw against West Ham United.
Otherwise, the Villa manager kept faith with the same XI, meaning Emi Martínez retained the captain’s armband and John McGinn was named among the substitutes.
There was also a place in the matchday 20 for Academy graduate Travis Patterson.
