Aston Villa will be without Matty Cash and Tyrone Mings for Saturday’s Premier League trip to Wolves.

Right-back Cash was forced off in the first half of Wednesday’s Champions League victory over Celtic and is expected to miss the next three to four weeks.

Fellow defender Tyrone Mings is close to making his return but this weekend’s clash at Molineux comes too soon.

Unai Emery provided a fitness update at Friday’s pre-match media conference.

“We will train this afternoon, but Matty Cash is not available,” said the Villa manager.

“He’s going to be, more or less, three to four weeks out.

“Tyrone Mings has a small injury, not really bad, but I think he will need some more days to be ready to play.”

Emery also provided the latest on midfielder Ross Barkley, who has been sidelined since the club’s FA Cup triumph over West Ham United in mid-January.

“Ross Barkley still has work to do individually before he can join us, for the next days or maybe week, and to be ready to play, but not yet,” he added.
