Happy World Book Day!

Today, Thursday, March 6, is World Book Day, and at Aston Villa, we're championing the plethora of current club reads available to supporters!

Celebrated annually, World Book Day encourages children and families to find enjoyment in reading. The theme this year is Read Your Way, prompting people to discover reading on their own terms.

And for Villa fans both young and old, there are plenty of ways to mix your love for the club and discover your enjoyment of reading, with a number of club offerings available.

Penned by club legend Brian Little and released last year - inspired by his life story about being a schoolboy with big dreams of becoming a footballer - Brian Little's Biscuit is a box set of three footballing stories created for younger readers. 

Upon its release, Little said: "About five years ago, at the age of 65, I decided to start writing stories inspired by my life—a schoolboy with big dreams of becoming a footballer. The hero, Biscuit Brian, follows a journey that closely mirrors my own, from staying out late practicing football on the streets of the North East to fulfilling my ambitions at Aston Villa as both a player and manager."

AV150: 150 Years // 150 Images

Released in December to commemorate Aston Villa's 150th anniversary, AV150: 150 Years // 150 Images is a special edition hardback photo book showcasing 150 iconic images from our beloved club’s illustrious history.

The distinctive publication contains iconic photographs from down the years – a stunning visual history of our great club – from Villa’s first trophy in 1880 to October's historic UEFA Champions League victory over Bayern Munich. Some of the images will be familiar; others have not previously been published. But each one represents a significant moment in the club’s history or is simply a stunning image.

Aston Villa 150 Years Book Volume Two

Written by club author and historian Colin Abbott, Aston Villa 150 Years Book Volume Two is the second of two large-format 400-plus page coffee table books telling the remarkable story of Aston Villa’s most recent 75 years. 

Again, released to commemorate the club's landmark anniversary, this publication includes hundreds of beautiful photographs, illustrations, stories, fascinating press cuttings and precious memorabilia, making it the perfect read for those that love the history of football and an opportunity to revisit some of the biggest moments in Villa’s history.

News & Record

A staple for any Aston Villa supporter on a home matchday, the Villa News & Record is the club's famous matchday programme, bringing many an outing in B6 to life before a ball has been kicked. 

The News & Record contains exclusive interviews, features, games and a word from Unai Emery himself in each issue, and is available to purchase from around the stadium on every matchday, while you can also order your copy online.

And this season, the club's matchday programme is celebrating our 150th anniversary season in style with a timeless commemorative sticker album. Stickers are not sold separately and must be collected via the programme.
