Aston Villa is pleased to announce Bradley Burrowes has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The exciting forward, who only turned 17 last week, has represented both Villa’s Under-18s and Under-21s sides this season, having arrived from Bristol Rovers in the summer of 2021.
Burrowes has 11 goals and seven assists in 30 appearances across all competitions so far this term – including goals against Club Brugge and RB Leipzig in the league phase of the UEFA Youth League – and four international appearances for England Under-17s already under his belt this campaign.
His impressive form earned him a place on the bench for Unai Emery’s first team in their 2-1 FA Cup third round victory over West Ham United in January, and Academy Manager Mark Harrison is looking forward to seeing Burrowes continue to progress.
He said: “We are delighted to see Brad sign his first professional contract.
“This is a well-deserved reward for his performances and the way he has applied himself since he joined the Academy, which has also seen him have some first team involvement this season at the age of 16.
“He is a tenacious, direct attacking player who scores goals and is very consistent in everything he does.
“We look forward to Brad’s continued development over the next few years.”
Congratulations, Brad!
