Aston Villa players will join their respective nations for the first time in 2025 as the March international period gets underway.

A host of Villans are on duty for their countries as domestic action takes a break for UEFA Nations League, FIFA World Cup qualifiers, international friendlies and more.

Ezri Konsa

England

Morgan Rogers, Ezri Konsa and Marcus Rashford have all been named in Thomas Tuchel's first England squad.

Rogers has received his second call-up to the senior Three Lions squad having made his debut in November, while on-loan forward Rashford is in England's ranks for the first time in 12 months having made his last international appearance in March 2024.

Tuchel starts his England reign with World Cup qualifiers against Albania on Friday, March 21 (ko 7.45pm) before facing Latvia on Monday, March 24 (ko 7.45pm), both taking place at Wembley.

John McGinn

Scotland 

John McGinn faces a crucial Nations League two legged play-off tie against Greece as Scotland look to preserve their place in League A.

The Tartan Army travel to Piraeus on Thursday, March 20 (ko 7.45pm) before the home clash at Hampden Park on Sunday, March 23 (ko 5pm).

France

Lucas Digne has been called up by France for their Nations League quarter-final against Croatia.

Le Bleus travel to Split for the first leg on Thursday, March 20 (ko 7.45pm) before hosting the second leg in Paris on Sunday, March 23 (ko 7.45pm).

Emi Martínez

Argentina

Emi Martínez will again represent Argentina as they look to book their place at the 2026 World Cup, which is being held in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

La Albiceleste, who are currently top of the CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup qualifying table, travel to second-placed Uruguay on Friday, March 21 (ko 11.30pm) before a huge home clash against Brazil on Wednesday, March 26 (ko 12am).

Belgium

Youri Tielemans has been called up for the Red Devils, who face Ukraine in a two-legged Nations League play-off fixture. 

Rudi Garcia will take charge of his first Belgium game in Murcia on Thursday, March 20 (ko 7.45pm), before the return leg in Genk on Sunday, March 23 (ko 7.45pm)

Holland

Ronald Koeman has called upon Donyell Malen to once again represent Netherlands, ahead of their Nations League quarter-final tie with Spain. 

The Oranje host Luis de la Fuente's side in Rotterdam on Thursday, March 20 (ko 7.45pm), before travelling to Valencia for the second leg on Sunday, March 23 (ko 7.45pm)

Donyell Malen

Poland

Matty Cash makes a return to action with Poland, having not appeared for his country since picking up an injury on international duty 12 months ago, during the European Championships qualifying play-off fixtures. 

Biało-Czerwoni take on Lithuania on Friday, March 21 (ko 7.45pm) and Malta on Monday, March 24 (ko 7.45pm) in World Cup Qualifiers, both games taking place in Warsaw. 

Sweden 

Robin Olsen has returned to Sweden's ranks for their friendly double-header against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland.

Sweden travel to Luxembourg City on Saturday, March 22 (ko 5pm) before their second fixture of the international period in Stockholm on Tuesday, March 25 (ko 6pm).

Matty Cash

England Under-21s

Samuel Iling-Jr will once again represent the Young Lions, having been called up for their double header in preparation for this summer's Under-21 European Championships.

Lee Carsley's side will travel to Lorient to take on France on Friday, March 21 (ko 8pm), before hosting Portugal at The Hawthorns on Monday, March 24 (ko 7.45pm)

Holland Under-21s

Both Ian Maatsen and Lamare Bogarde have been given the nod for Jong Oranje, who travel for a friendlies in preparation for the Under-21 Euros this year in Slovakia. 

For Bogarde, it's a maiden under-21 call-up, and he'll be hoping to make his debut for Michael Reiziger's side, as they face Italy in Venice on Friday, March 21 (ko 5.15pm) before travelling to Bucharest to take on Romania four days later Tuesday, March 25 (ko 5.30pm)

Spain Under-21s

Andrés García could make his first international appearance for Spain, after receiving a maiden call-up for their under-21s squad. 

Santi Denia's side face friendlies against Czech Republic in Lorca on Friday, March 21 (ko 6.30pm) and Germany in Darmstadt on Tuesday, March 25 (ko 7.30pm), as part of their final preparations for the European Championships in Slovakia this summer.

Young Lions

A number of Villa's academy prospects have also been called up to represent their repsective nations at younger age groups throughout the break. 

Thierry Katsukunya has received his first call-up for Wales Under-21s, for a friendly double header in Valencia. They take on Andorra on Thursday, March 20 (ko 11am) before a clash with Sweden three days later on Sunday, March 23 (ko 1pm).

Kadan Young and Triston Rowe have been called up for England Under-19s' UEFA U19 EURO elite qualifying round fixtures in North Wales, where they will face Wales (Wednesday, March 19, ko 7pm), Turkiye (Saturday, March 22, ko 11am) and Portugal (Tuesday, March 25, ko 7pm)

Leon Routh and George Hemmings form part of England's under-18s squad which will travel to Portugal for friendlies with Czechia (Friday, March 21, ko 5pm), France (Sunday, March 23, ko 3pm) and Portugal (Tuesday, March 25, ko 11am).

At under-17 level, Bradley Burrowes will represent England in their UEFA U17 EURO elite qualifying round fixtures at St. George's Park against Israel (Wednesday, March 18, ko 3pm), Slovenia (Saturday March 22, ko 3pm) and Northern Ireland (Tuesday, March 25, ko 7pm)

And Lennon Moss has received a call-up for Wales Under-17s, who travel to Albania to face the hosts and Azerbaijan in a mini UEFA U17 EURO League B Round 2 tournament in group B6. Cymru will face Azerbaijan on Saturday, March 22 (ko 11am), before facing Albania three days later on Tuesday, March 25 (ko 2pm)
