Homegrown star Jacob Ramsey has become a key player for Aston Villa since enjoying a breakout campaign in 2020/21. He reached 100 appearances for the club during the 2022/23 season, showing his qualities once again by scoring six goals and registering eight assists. 

Ramsey scored his first senior goal for the club in a Premier League fixture against Arsenal in October 2021. He went on to make 34 Premier League appearances during the campaign, scoring an impressive six goals, while also establishing himself for England's Under-21 side.

Ramsey was duly named both Villa's Players’ Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season as he walked away with an awards double in May 2022.

On the international stage, Ramsey helped England win the Under-21 European Championships in July 2023.
