We announced the signing of Rachel Corsie on a two-and-a-half year deal in January 2022.

The central defender joined the club from Kansas City Current in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

Corsie has had previous spells in England with Notts County and Birmingham City.

The Scotland international became our third and final signing of the January transfer window following the arrivals of Anna Patten and Jill Scott.

Corsie made 22 appearances in all competitions during her first full season in the claret and blue as well as scoring her first goal as a Villan in the side's 2-1 quarter-final Women's FA Cup victory over Manchester City in March 2023.

The club captain also went on to rack up 27 additional appearances during the 2023/24 term but has been sidelined throughout the 24/25 campaign, so far, through injury.
