Aston Villa Women announced the impressive signing of Rachel Daly in August 2022.

The recently crowned European Champion joined the club from Houston Dash for an undisclosed fee.

Daly hit the ground running in B6 as she netted twice on her club debut as she helped the side to an opening day 4-3 victory over Manchester.

The striker, who can also operate deeper in attack and at left back, didn't stop scoring during her maiden campaign as she went on to collect the WSL Golden Boot trophy after netting a whopping 22 goals in 22 games.

The 33-year-old continued to find the back of the net during her second season in the claret and blue as she bagged 16 goals in 26 games in all competitions.

Daly, who has worn the captain's armband throughout the 24/25 campaign so far, reached 100 club careet goals at the start of the new campaign through a brace away to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The fan favourite also made it 50 goals as a Villan through a goal against Crystal Palace in November 2024.

Daly retired from international duty back in April 2024 after racking up 84 caps and 16 goals in addition to collecting a UEFA Women's Euro golden medal as well as a silver medal at the FIFA Women's World Cup.
